La Puerta
We named this apartment La Puerta
after the oldest city gate of La Puerta de San Juan located at the
south of La Caleta.
The apartment consist of two
levels. The second level being a mezzanine that is accessed by a
solid wood staircase in a classic Old San Juan fashion. At this level
you will find the bedroom, with a queen size orthopedic mattress, a
closet and bathroom decorated with cream marble.
The fist level has a fully
equipped kitchen, living room, and dinning table for four persons.
This apartment has an exquisite
colonial ambiance dominated by two door/windows with a view of the
cobblestones street. Cobblestones were brought by Spaniards to
stabilize their ships back in the 1500s and were used later at the
construction of the city's streets. Caleta de San Juan was the first
street built for civilians at Old San Juan. It is a unique green
small street populated by many native trees and near a monumental
Cathedral. From this apartment you may enjoy not only the trees but
the view and sound of birds during the migration season which is
almost all year around. |
